There are literally hundreds of RV parks scattered across the United States. There are catalogs and websites that identify the location of these sites, along with what amenities are available. They will tell you the seasons in which they are open, if animals are permissible, and dictate what size RV rig they will accept.
Before you plan out which location you want to go to, you need to figure out a couple things. What do you want to do when you reach the park? Do you wish to go hiking, four-wheeling, sightseeing, fishing, boating or dine out and go to shows?
For instance, there are parks located near casinos, or one could go to the Rio Grande Valley and see birds. A person could choose a park in which the park specializes in sports or health and wellness programs. There are luxury camping resorts that specialize in tours and camps remotely located in scenic areas and national parks.
Whatever the desire, one should learn all they can about the park and the surrounding area before striking out on your next road trip. In addition, before starting out, make sure you have called ahead and made reservations, especially when traveling on or around holidays.
Regardless of where the park is located, it is a well know fact among those who are traveled RVers, it is often the people you meet that really makes the trip a delight.
