Central American Travel

There are more differences in a small of an area of Central America than anywhere else in the world. It doesn’t matter how long you visit, because you could never run out of things to do. A trip to Central America will give you stories to talk about for decades.

Central America is the section of country that connects North and South America. It geographically is part of North America with seven of its countries being mostly tropical although they have more in common with South America. Sometimes even Mexico is associated with Central America because of their language and culture. The language shared by these countries is Mayan Spanish.

You may enter these countries by air or roads. As a matter of fact, the highway called Americas will take you from Alaska, all through Central America, and even down to the tip of South America. Unfortunately, you don’t always know road conditions have correct maps and so on, so it can be frustrating. Central America consists of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Belize and parts of southern Mexico.

Along the coast, the shores vary from Caribbean white-sand beaches to the rugged offshore reefs with the coffee-scented mountains not far away. You can walk the ancient cobblestone streets from the 16th century, knowing that not far away you can stare at the powerful lava-gurgling volcanoes. Picture yourself wandering through the dense jungles, seeing dog-sized rodents passing you by, and howler monkeys swinging among the treetops above you.
