The Glenwood Canyon Resort, previously known as Rock Gardens Campground, is located in Glenwood springs between Vail and Aspen, Colorado. This campground is right on the Colorado River and on the Glenwood Canyon recreational trail. You can enjoy hiking up to Hanging Lake and when you return you can go to the world’s largest hot springs pool which is located a few minutes away. Glenwood Canyon Resort has thirty-two big rig sites with electric, sewer and water hookups. If you have a smaller RV, they also offer sites with just electricity and water. A bathhouse, laundry room and game room are a few of the amenities guests have available to them. They are open year-round and cost $30 to $50 per night depending on the season and day.
If you plan on hiking Pike’s Peak and seeing other sites around Colorado Springs then Garden of the Gods camp is a place for you. This campground is located in Colorado Springs and is near Old Colorado City and Mintou Springs. Guests have access to pools, indoor whirlpools, a TV lounge, a game room, showers, laundry, playgrounds and free Wi-Fi hotspots and internet. Garden of the Gods has full hook-up sites and large pull through sites. It’s open year round and rates are around $50 per night.
A&A Mesa Verde is the closest full service campground to Mesa Verde, Colorado. They have over seventy sites including “big pull throughs.” Amenities included are a heated pool, a full mini-golf course, playgrounds, laundry, groceries and free Wi-Fi. Sites start at $33 per night and they are open year round.
