The recreational areas are all located near some kind of water source. The waters of Montana are a source of pride to the state, as they are all well maintained and provide pristine fishing waters.

The Montana State park system can boast that the state has more parks than almost any other in the union and has preserved its rich history for all future generations to enjoy.
