Washington State Parks are plentiful and beautiful. Most offer camping for tents as well as RVs in shared areas, and you should check ahead of time at individual parks to see if reservations are accepted. Some RV campgrounds are open all year round, although water may not be available.
The Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is a very large park with several campgrounds. Camp sites here and in most Washington State Parks are on a first come, first serve basis, with campsites suitable for either tents or RVs. There is a limit of two vehicles per site (RV is one, a car is another), and a limit of ten people per site. No hookups, but there are comfort stations. Free dump stations and free water for RV tanks is included with the camp site fee.
Another popular park is Steamboat Rock State Park. This park offers 100 RV campsites with full hookups and comfort stations, as well as a dump station. There are strict rules about keeping vehicle tires on the paved areas of the campsites, but RV sites are large enough to accommodate most vehicles easily.
A standard campsite is $15. Utility camp sites are $21. An RV or a tent can camp at either type of site, but the extra hookup fee is always charged at the utility sites. Some parks may charge an additional fee for certain “premium” camp sites. Dump station fees are $5 per use unless you are camping, and then it is included in your camp site fee.
