Oregon State Parks, RV Camping

The state of Oregon has a variety of beautiful state parks and recreational areas throughout the state.

For large groups of RV campers, there are group RV camp areas in four state parks. Champoeg, Silver Falls, Fall Creek Reservoir and Willamette Mission offer the designated large group RV camp areas, although there are not hookups. The fees for this type of RV Camp are $10 per RV, per-night, with a minimum of eight RVs per-night, except at Fisherman’s Point at Fall Creek, where the minimum number of RVs is five per-night. You can reserve the large group RV camp areas in advance. Some discounts are available, and you should inquire at the park.

Your group may not want the large group area. In this case, your group can reserve “club” campsites in blocks at the state park of your choice, as long as the park accepts reservations. One camper must be designated as the “Wagonmaster,” and their campsite will be charged a $6 reservation fee plus one night’s camping fee for each camp site when you make the reservation. The fees for the rest of the camping nights in your reservation must be paid in full one month before you arrive. If you do not pay in advance, the sites will be canceled and you will be billed a cancellation fee of $6 for each site. The Wagonmaster is responsible for making sure the arrangements and payments are made, and they must also send a list of who will be camping at which site three days before arrival, and they must provide a final list after arrival. They also has to take care of the charges for any extra vehicles in the group.
