Arizona State Parks

Among Arizona’s many protected lands are several state parks.  One of Arizona's hidden treasures is Alamo Lake State Park.  This park's main feature is excellent bass fishing along the lake.  Bluegill, largemouth bass, channel catfish and black crappie can also be found within the lake's rich fishing spots.

Buckskin Mountain State Park is where the mountains stretch along the river on both Arizona and California sides.  The river offers opportunity for boating, jet skiing and swimming.  Visitors camping in the winter enjoy the comfortable weather, fishing and hiking inside the park.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park lies along the Verde River, and covers 423 acres of developed land.  Some of the activities available are mountain biking in the Coconino National Forest and hiking along the Verde River.  Furthermore, there is canoeing, picnicking, fishing or just wading in the cool water for additional family fun.

Patagonia Lake State Park offers water activities such as water skiing, jet skiing and a "no wake zone" for the avid fisherman.  Although the fishing is year-round, the skiing and jet skiing have seasonal limitations from May 1st to September 31st.

All of Arizona's state parks offer a variety of camping, from undeveloped spots for tent camping and cabins to sites including water and electrical hook-ups.  Although RV parking may not be exactly inside the state parks, there are RV facilities at or near the parks.  To locate nearby RV accommodations, use RV Park Hunter(www.rvparkhunter.com). It is a web site that lists links to RV parks all over the United States and Canada.  Simply click on the state you plan on visiting and a listing of RV parks in that state will appear.  Links to neighboring states will also appear to help make planning your whole trip easier.
