Hotels in Costa Rica

San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, has many hotels to choose from, and they are probably on an average more expensive.  But compared to hotels in the states or in Europe, they’re very affordable for the quality they provide.  For instance, the number one rated hotel in San Jose from TripAdvisor reviewers is the Grano de Oro Hotel.  This hotel has just 35 rooms, but no matter what the season, never goes above the average price of $105 a night and has been called a “wonderful find,” a “great surprise,” and received rave reviews for its service.

Posada El Quijote, another hotel in San Jose, rents rooms for an average price of just $95 a night year round and is ranked number two.  It only has nine rooms and also received good reviews from previous customers.

If you’re really on a tight budget, staying at the Aranjuez Hotel in San Jose might be a better option, especially because its average price is an amazing $34 a night and still has received great reviews, including “greatest breakfast ever,” by one satisfied customer.
